Personal statement
My practice begins with the overlooked — a rusted hinge, a tide line, the underside of a bridge. I treat these as fragments of a larger civic body, translating them into surfaces that hold both decay and tenderness.
Biography
Giovanni Becagli
Working between painting and installation, the studio explores memory, landscape, and the residue of industrial labour. Recent work pairs pigment-heavy canvases with found objects collected across northern ports.
